Sick enough to make them lose me as a customer. Overall as a Nvidia user with a GTX680, it sickens me to see the company become such an anti-consumer and neglectful entity over the past 5 years. This was latter fix in future updates (- Performance Boast for Kepler cards) but never outright admitted. Its definitely discouraging especially considering past events/current events of the whole "Tracking user information" with the new GeForce experience and the incident of the company getting caught purposely down-clocking Kepler based GPU cards on newer games : Example, Witcher III at the time. I've seen this happen to TF2 (2007 one), GTA V (2015*) and Rainbow Six Siege (2015) with GPU errors like being unable to past the 30fps mark with each. Over the past 2 years Nvidia has been forgetting to ship latest drivers with the necessary optimizations profiles for old* games (Its completly random on what which driver will be missing). I imagine these people install drivers from a scratched CD while running a combined CPU/GPU torture test, with their HDD getting defragged in the background while chanting Satan's true name of power. As per usual, I only have two explanations: Once again, I marvel at people experiencing issues with drivers. I initially found it weird that updating to the new driver also changed my default audio device from the digital S/PDIF output to my monitors inbuilt stereo speakers. Planetside 2: Zero discernible FPS difference.

Rebooted PC.ĭriver 378.49 after reboot with OC applied again: 159 average FPS, running the benchmark 5 times. Ran the benchmark 5 times, alt tabbed and noticed my overclock wasn't applying. Couldn't log into PS2 pre-update, so testing with Rainbow6Siege benchmark, a similarly CPU-bound game, DX9 vs DX11 differences notwithstanding.ĭriver 376.33: 158.5 average FPS, running the benchmark 5 times.ĭriver 378.49 right after install: 138 average FPS.
